What the model shows

Height in wavelengths

The same physical wire sits progressively higher in wavelengths as frequency rises. That is why the higher bands develop additional, lower-angle lobes.

Lower-angle radiation

Lower elevation angles are generally more useful for long-distance paths, while high-angle radiation can favor shorter regional paths.

Useful approximation

This is an idealized image-theory model. Real soil, wire geometry, loading coils, nearby objects, and the actual terrain profile will change the measured pattern.
